In remarks that were censored due to the language used, Rihanna attacked the law, saying:
Who’s feeling these new bullsh*t laws that they’re trying to pass over here? I say f*ck that sh*t.
The crowd responded by chanting back her words: “F*ck that sh*t.”
“We’re just living our motherf*cking lives. Indiana!” Rihanna shouted to the crowd at White River State Park.
After her remarks, Rihanna went into a rendition of T.I.’s “Live Your Life.”
The Religious Freedom Restoration Act, signed by Governor Mike Pence, has been considered by many to be discriminatory against the LGBT community.
Rihanna was not the only singer to protest Indiana’s new law. Jack Antonoff, of the band Fun and Bleachers, wore a tee shirt that read “Protect LGBTQ Hoosiers” and asked people to donate to Freedom Indiana, which is working to dismantle the act.
